Maybe you've attended a church that was boring and lifeless. Maybe you've never even been inside a church and you wonder what it's all about. Or perhaps you were formerly a member of a church and have drifted away. Whatever the case, we invite you to experience Timberhill Baptist and trust you will find something you'll enjoy and want to come back to.

Timberhill has something for you!

What Kind of Church is Timberhill Baptist Church?

We believe that church is not something to be endured, but to be embraced...a place you return to again and again because you want to, not because you feel like you have to. We believe that the message should not change, but realize the methods used to convey the message must. Our goal is that lives will be built through up-to-date ministries designed to meet the needs of 21st century families. We invite you to spend some time visiting our site, and invite you to join us for an upcoming service to see for yourself what we are all about!

The Hope of a Christian

As Christians, one of the greatest characteristics we have is "hope." The atheist does not have it. The secular humanist (that believes in man's abilities) doesn't either. Politicians pretend to have it (at least in order to get elected). But only Christians truly have great hope in the future.

  • "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." I Pet 1:3
  • "In hope of eternal life, which God that cannot lie, promised before the world began." Titus 1:2
  • "Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil. Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus..." Hebrews 6:19-20a

Because of what the Lord did on the cross, and because of his resurrection, we have hope. We have a hope about our "past" that by His grace He forgives us. We have hope in the present because of His purpose that He will guide us. And we have hope in the future, that because He loves us, He will deliver us.
